This is the finished mural for It's a Beautiful Pizza on Belmont in SE Portland. The owner wanted a mural that would provide a serene backdrop to his outside dining area. Most of my work is brightly colored, but for this project I chose a pallette of natural greens and grays.

The wood structure to the left went in after the mural and adds to the atmosphere of the area.

Here's a view from the side of the mural. We continued the paint around the corner to make it look like a thick painting rather than a thin layer of paint on a thick wall. I use this idea in my paintings too.

The wall was very rough in texture, but this was a fun challenge to work with.
